Joel Osteen Devotional 30 May 2025 Inspirational Message
Today’s Topic:Â No More Forever
Scripture: Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.” – Exodus 14:13, NKJV
Today’s Word
After Pharaoh finally let the two million Israelites slaves leave for the Promised Land, he soon changed his mind and came chasing after them. The Israelites reached a dead end at the Red Sea, but just because you run out of options doesn’t mean God has run out of options. God parted the water and the Israelites went through on dry ground. When the enemy came chasing after them, they were all drowned.
The Israelites saw those enemies no more. You may have situations that look as though they’ll never change. God is saying to you what He said to them. You’re about to see the depression no more. You’re about to see that struggle in your finances no more. God is about to release you into abundance.
You might as well have a going-away party for the sickness that’s been hindering you. God is doing a new thing. Now keep this tenacity in your spirit. Be more stubborn in your faith than anything stubborn that’s trying to stop you. You are well able to outlast what’s trying to stop you.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You have broken the chain of any negative thing from my past that’s trying to hold me back. Thank You that You have so defeated the problem that I’m not even going to see it anymore. I’m going to start living like I am free and experience everything You have for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
You have to learn to receive God’s mercy. The enemy would love for you to live feeling condemned. He’ll remind you of all the times you haven’t measured up. It may not be something big, but even small things: you didn’t spend enough time with your children last week, you should have worked out, you were late to school, you got mad at your neighbor.
There’s always some reason to feel bad about who you are. If you give in to those lies, then you’ll go through life feeling wrong on the inside. I’ve found that most people accept condemnation more easily than they accept mercy. They believe the lies from the accuser more than they believe what God says: they’re forgiven, they’re redeemed, they’re made worthy.
When we’ve been through disappointments, loss, bad breaks, it’s easy to forget who we are and let that become our identity. “I’ve been dropped. I’ve been hurt. I’ve been betrayed. I have a good excuse to be this way.” But what you’ve been through didn’t change who you are. You are still royalty. You are still a masterpiece. You are still a child of the Most High God. He’s promised to give you beauty for the ashes, to pay you back double for the unfair things. But you have to get your passion back.
Get your vision back. The enemy would love for that bad break to define you, so you see yourself as a victim. “Nothing good is in my future. Let me just endure life.” No, payback is coming. God saw what happened. He saw who left you. He saw what you didn’t get. He’s a God of justice. He’s going to make it up to you.
